RBI ON 2000 NOTE: 2023

  When will 2000 note be closed 2023? 

'Reserve Bank of India' (RBI) has issued a circular today on May 19, 2023, in which it is going to discontinue the Rs 2000 note. RBI has also announced that there is no need for common people to worry about it. RBI has taken this decision under Clean Note Policy.

Some people are confused after hearing this news. Especially those people who have 2000 rupee notes are worried. If you are also in them then there is no need to worry. The closure of notes does not mean that they have no value. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will give enough time for people to convert them. 

Under this circular, the notes can be returned to the bank till 30 September. 

 I have 2000 rupee note, what should I do? 

If you have bank notes of 2000 rupees, then you do not need to panic at all. You can change them as per your convenience. RBI has given enough time for this. 

Where do I get 2000 rupee notes exchanged?

 RBI has told that 2000 rupees bank note can be changed in any bank. That is, if your account is in the State of India (SBI) and you have a Punjab National Bank (PNB) near your house, then you can go to PNB and get the 2000 rupee note changed. In other words, there will be no need to go to any specific bank to exchange the notes. These can be changed by visiting any bank.
